Normally I would not feel right about bitching about my ex to anyone yet alone in public for the world to hear (or see in this case) but damn it he's earned it.
To start with last month he told me last month that he was going to maybe miss a child support payment. He said tell him as soon as I find out that I didn't get paid. So on the 10th when I didn't get an email saying that the child support was going to be deposited, I called him and told him. He told me that he was going to go to the office and pay on Monday. Knowing how he forgets things (he even forgets Owen's birthday but never Ian's [his son from his first marriage who is 3 years older than Owen]) I called him Monday night to make sure that he did pay. He didn't answer so I left a message. Tuesday I called again to check again no answer so I left a message and a few texts. I know I am starting to get sound bitchy, but he know that I have spent what little bit I had saved (for things like this) going back and forth to Pittsburgh that few months several times a week. I tried calling him all day on Wednesday but his phone was off. Anyway I didn't hear back from until this morning Sunday the 17th a week since he told me that he would take care of it. I sent him a text about 0400 this morning after washing out poopy underwear again since we are out of goodnite. He sent one back complaining about it being 0400. Which I replied that I was washing underwear. Than after 0800 he sent a text saying that if I'm miserable everyone else has to be too. That is just not the case, cause if he would have paid Owen would have been in nite time undies which means that I would not have been scrubbing undies, Since I wouldn't have been scrubbing undies I would have need to text him at 0400 to ask if he paid his child support yet?
His dad is always ME ME ME ME!! He blows Owen off to go hang out with friends and it my fault because Owen doesn't understand why dad wants to see his friends and not his own son. Last year he had all his facebook friends and then girlfriend email me and bitch me out because I didn't force Owen to go see his dad for his birthday. Here is what happened last year. First he wants to see Owen a week before his birthday, his excuse for not being able to see him on his birthday. He had to go down to VA, to see Ian at Military school the week of Owen's birthday since it was the only time that he would be aloud to see Ian all summer. To make it up to Owen, he asked if Owen could stay the night with him after the 3 of us went to dinner. Which I said yes and after about 40 texts of him making sure and saying my he leaves it at that and I don't hear from him until 2300 the night before we were to do Owen's birthday dinner. The text was asking to move dinner to lunch and I said ok and then asked if he was just going to take Owen with him after lunch or should I drop him off later for their sleepover. His answer Owen wasn't going to sleep over and that was NEVER part of the plan. We went back and forth over that for about an hour before I turned off the phones cause I was tired of his shit. The next morning Owen wakes up early all excited about getting to see dad and staying the night with him. When I told him that things had changed and it was just going to be lunch, he went off on me screaming that I did something to make daddy mad. I always ruin things for him to see his dad cause I never want him to be happy. Okay, after 10 years of ALWAYS being the bad guy and taking blame for EVERYTHING when Corey stands Owen up or changes the plans. I showed Owen the text messages from his dad where HE was the one changing things and saying that he never said that Owen was to stay the night. Because it was DAD who changed the plans Owen wanted nothing to do with him. I tried to get him to go but he was so mad that he said he didn't have a dad anymore.
So later that day I start getting all this nasty email both my regular email and facebook about how I am the biggest bitch in the world. Telling me that I had no right to so Owen text messages between his dad and I. That Corey, should take me to court and get full custody of Owen, since I am refusing to allow Owen to see his dad and telling him lies about his dad. I talked to several of Owen's doctors and therapist and his case manager and they all said that I did the right thing. That my taking the blame for everything his dad does is just making Owen's and mines relationship impossible to live in. But to Corey's friends I was the bitch and wrong.
What's really funny about last years birthday is that when Corey was done with that girlfriend he cheated on her (that is his MO he gets tired of someone and instead of saying its over like an adult he cheats) so she emailed me telling me that he's an ass and a cheater and was probably cheating on her with me. When I reminded her that I know Corey is a cheater, hello he cheated on me with a 16 year old so I know he is a cheating jerk. She asked why I didn't let Owen go see his brother for his birthday. When she asked me that my jaw hit the floor. Here his dad told me that he had to celebrate Owen's birthday a week early because he had to go down to VA to see Ian at military school. I told her that Owen didn't want to go after he read that his dad never said he could stay the night. And that Ian was to be in VA, that's why it was early. I didn't hear back from her.

People still have hearts
I am not one for asking for help, just because I am hard headed and nothing else. But this past week when I was down to $3.00 to my name and no chance of getting any anytime soon since Owen's dad didn't pay yet again. Luckily, we have food stamps or we would really starve, but we didn't get those until today.
Back to last week, we had bread and a few frozen food items. I was starting to be happy that Owen doesn't eat since I was eating what he left behind. That is if I could get it before he feed it to Shye, trust me that was a fight a few times. But I had remembered watching the news online of course (we don't have cable and are down to one small tv, since the one in the living room died at the age of 10 years, it was time to go) a few weeks ago when both Owen and I didn't feel well, that there was a story of a site that helps people in need get a pizza. As a person who cooks at least once a day, everyday I know the joy of not having to cook and there is nothing that test better than a hot gooy cheesy pizza. So I looked up the site and was surprised by the size and how they don't just help those in major cites like New York (which was shown in the news piece).
So, on Sunday I placed a request for a pizza, not expecting much. But to my surprise I had a person offer to buy Owen and I some pizza one to get now and one for his birthday. I must say that I cried tears of joy. I didn't tell Owen, just incase it wasn't true. In a way I am glad because the pizzas fell through the site for ordering gift cards was giving the person some problems (anyone who has ordered stuff online know that this can happen). So instead of pizza they sent us a Amazon.com gift card. Needless to say when I got that email I really started crying, especially when they said that we could use the money to buy anything that we wanted not just food. I must say that lifted a huge weight off my chest of trying to find money to buy Owen something for his birthday in 2 weeks. He got several movies and a puzzle video game.
Since I am sure that some of you might be now or soon need help or want to help someone else I'll give the site. If I come across other sites that are really, really helpful I will post them. Just remember that this is a free site and there are jerks out there who will be helpful and others who are just jerks, so don't get your hopes up real high or upset if they say something bad about you.

Helpful Tips for Sick Kids
Over the years with son being sick a lot and then once he is sick it takes him twice as long to get well again I have found ways to make it easier. Some tips might seem like they cost more money but they really don't and they save you time and sanity when it comes to cleaning up.
So, I have already told you about the hospital bag and to always have it at the ready. If you are going to the hospital because you little one is vomiting (throwing up) you are probably thinking on the way please don't vomit. Lets face it, its a pain in the ass to clean-up after in the house if they don't make it to the bathroom, its twice as hard to get it out of all those small places in the car. For this reason we have a 1.5 qt dish pan just for vomiting. It works great if we have to go on long car rides (like to Children's Hospital) or just when we have to go to the ER for the vomiting. It also works great in the house. My son has it by him at all times when he doesn't feel good at home. We have all had to clean-up beds after our kids wake-up from sleeping and just start vomiting. Especially, during naps when they are already sick. Having the bucket means that you are not going to have to scrub the car out after going to the Doctor or wash bedding all day because they didn't make it to the bathroom. Plus, you can keep your kid resting and just take the bucket and dump it and wash it out instead of making them walk when they are sick.
Another tips mostly saves your sanity when you have a sick one. We have all been there and not made it to the bathroom in time when we have diarrhea. And kids seem to make it even less, and more during the night when they are asleep. Well, my son has chronic constipation and is on a daily laxative so he tends to get diarrhea more than most. When he does get it he is not allowed to take anything for it. He gets embarrassed when we are at the store and we have to buy more. But he gladly wears them to keep his blankets and stuff from smelling like poop even after getting washed by hand right away and then soaking in soap water for 24 hours. I am talking about those night time underwear used mostly for night time potty training and for kids who still wet the bed after being potty trained. I myself was a bed wetter until I was 13. Trust me I wish they had these when I was a kid, I had alarms that I had to wear at night that were suppose to wake me up when I started to wet the bed, it didn't work it just made it easier for me to sleep through all most anything. We were using these on my son when he was still wetting the bed (he stopped at the age of 8 unless he has a large seizure) and we had some left over when I thought about using them for diarrhea. They work great for it! Since diarrhea is mostly liquid poop it leaks out of regular underwear and goes down the legs and on the outer clothes and then on every you are sitting on at the time leaving a HUGE mess to clean-up and a kid who is upset. With the night time underwear (there are several different brands) it keeps most of the mess in the underwear leaving less mess to clean. These work great for a couple reasons the big one the mess pretty much stays but. Plus, because they have pull-a-part sides you can just take them off like a diaper. Still keeping the mess inside so you can put into a bag to throw away. I know your thinks that they are expensive and with the economy the way it is you don't see this being worth the money, but it is. Your kids is going to school and you make them wear clean underwear everyday but lets say that your kid is going to a sleep over and underwear has to go what do you do when all they underwear they have is stained from diarrhea? Going out and buying new underwear can be just a pricey plus kids are meaner then when we were kids. That's the money side here is the sanity side. I don't know about you but having to scrub underwear is not one the the things I look forward too after my kid was potty trained. Not to mention the smell, I know that my son's has a habit of smelling like something died and that smell is hard to get rid of even out of the air. With the night time undies the smell and mess goes in a bag (we save the plastic store bags for this) and right out the dumpster.
Here is a tip to help clean-up your kid after you get the messy undies off. The shower!! I know what I shower in there too, that is so gross. Think about it thought. It works best if you have a shower head on a hose so you can move the spray around. If the head has several different water flows even better. I say this because when your kid's tush and other parts are covered with poop toilet paper is not going to do the job and those flush-able wipes you can use a whole package and still have a mess. I have my son get in the shower then we rip the sides apart on the undies and drop them in the bag. With the normal shower spray I hose him down and then after he is rinsed off he washes with soap. This way we get it all and he smells better unlike if you just try to wipe it up. We have done this millions of times when they were babies. It was just easier to give them a bath than stand there forever trying to make sure they were clean to avoid diaper rash, its the same thing just bigger. Now your thinking okay that makes sense but what about the germs left in the tub, we still have to shower in there and that is a gross thought. Bleach is your answer. Once the diarrhea has stopped or they are a sleep fill you tub half full with nothing but hot water. I help out the tub by boiling a large pot on the stove (which I start before I go to fill the tub) and then then just pour about a cup or cup and a half in the tub and just let it sit there for a few hours. Now, I do this once a week anyway, cause I'm just crazy like that, but just doing it after you clean off the your kid is more than enough to clean and kill the germs.
I also have kept a few sippy cups around to for different reasons. Mostly for my son's hand tremors, but they work great when he is sick too. When your kid is sick you want them to lay down and rest, but when they go to sit-up and drink that can be hard for them. And you don't want them to wear or choke on their juice or water so give it to them in a sippy cup. We all know that some sippy cups can be a bitch to clean but I have found some that are easy to clean and easy on the teeth. They have large silicon tops which makes cleaning easy and soft on my sons teeth when his hands shake really bad.
This last tip depends on your kid and age. I know that when it comes to taking medication either over-the-counter stuff or his prescriptions my son prefers pills. If your child is old enough to take over-the-counter medications but fights taking them, try to get them to take the pill version. This is just a preference to taste. We all dread getting the flu or cold and then having to take those liquid medicines to feel better why? BECAUSE THEY SMELL AND TASTE SO GROSS!! And then the taste never leaves your mouth and even drinking things after taste gross. Now, you and I both would spend a little but more to get the pill version rather than take the liquid, so why wouldn't your kid. Their stuff taste just as bad and leaves the same after taste. So, the next time you have to buy over-the-counter cold or allergy medicine for your kid think about getting the pill form if they fight you on taking the liquid or would rather suffer than take anything.

Its going to be a long day.
Here is a helpful tip before I explain why today is going to be long day.
If you have kids then you have done the ER run with long hours in the waiting room to be triaged before going back to a room or curtain. Once back there you still have a long wait. I have been doing this ER run for as long as I can remember and there is nothing worse than a sick kid who is bored and doesn't want to wait to feel better. For this reason we have a hospital bag. What is a hospital bag you ask, its simple really you take a backpack that your kid isn't using for school, or you can buy one just for this. Inside the bag you have a few books (I have one for me just in case my son falls asleep while waiting). I suggest for the books that you pick some that they like but wont mind if its left in the bag for a while. Also switching out the books once in awhile will keep you from hearing "I don't want that one we've read it so many times already". For the younger kids put in a coloring book and a small box of crayons to keep them busy. Now that my son is older we bring a laptop with us also so that we can watch tv or movies on it. Lets face it there is not much on the tv for kids after midnight when they seem to get really sick. Again it works out great for me if he is asleep. Even though my son is 11 we bring one of the girls or all 3 depending on why we are going. (The girls are 3 stuffed puppies that are his safety net, the girls are always sick with what he has and has seizures just like him.) Along with a his small Pens blanket. Lately he has been bringing his penguin pillow pet named Fleury after his favorite Pittsburgh Penguin player along too.
Now on to why today is going to be long day. For starters I haven't slept yet, I tried taking a nap with my son earlier but Shye, wanted out just as I was falling asleep. Anyway, it started just before 0800 when my son woke up screaming from a migraine. So after a few hours of dark quite and medicine he fell a sleep. This is were my missed nap came in. After my son woke up he felt better and then it was outside to play chase me with Shye, and soccer with mom. But soon after he started to complain that he was feeling funny and that there were dips in the floor. Not even a minute after saying that to me he went white as a ghost and fell to the floor with his eyes still open. Of course shye, freaked out like she always does when he has a seizure. So I had to get past her biting me to get to him on the floor. Luckily this seizure was an absentee seizure or as I call it the "lights are on but no one home". Unfortunately, it was not the last that he would have today but it was the smallest in the sense of body movement. Then about 2200 I heard a loud thud in the bathroom, he had gotten up to use the bathroom when he had a grand maul seizure. The poor guy was flopping on the bathroom floor like a fish out of water for about a minute before he came to, vomited on me and pasted out. Where was Shye, during all this you ask, she was in my sons room with the door closed. He didn't want her to get out so he shut the door on her when he left. Since this last seizure was a big one I rushed him to the ER to make sure that nothing was wrong or that he didn't hurt his head from the fall. So, there we were sitting in the ER him hooked up to monitors and just waiting to see if anything else happened. After about 5 hours with no more seizures and no other signs we could go home.
Now that our trip to the ER is over I have to get ready for our trip to Children's hospital which is about 40 miles away. But its going to take me nearly 2 hours to get there with the morning traffic. Which I don't mind driving in bumper to bumper traffic (I know I'm weird that it relaxes me). One thing bugs me about it WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE TO STOP SO FAR BEHIND THE CAR IN FRONT OF YOU, THAT YOU CAN GET A TRACTOR TRAILER AND 2 CARS IN THAT SPACE!!!! Seriously, you wouldn't stop that far behind someone at a stop sign or light and you are not going to do it even if there is no one in front of you. So, why do it when you are going slower then a turtle. Back to his appointment later today it is one of the longer appointments that we have. Last month the doctor was so behind that my son fell asleep in the waiting room and then again in the exam room. By the time she go to him he was ready to go home and fought her on everything. I am just know that we are not going to get out of there before 1400 with our appointment time at 1100.
CYS was called the guy tried to take me son because he just ran my name and got the other me's criminal record. Apparently she hit a cop, shot at her boyfriend, made threats to people and had 10 DUI's. Since he came to my house I had all the proof that he wanted to show that I am not the other me. Shit my last ticket was in 1999 and the only time that I have been finger printed was when I worked for DOD. The guy tells me before he left that I if lied to him he was going to come back take my son have him adopted so I couldn't find him and have me locked up. Needless to say he never came back, he did call to tell me that the complaint against me for my son missing to much school was unfounded since I had doctors notes for everyday. And would you believe that after getting in my face calling me a lair, a horrible mom who needs to have her taken away and put in jail, he didn't apologize. I get that he was doing his job and making sure that my son was getting what he needed, but damn it after what he said to me he should have said something to me, instead he said nothing. Now if I would have treated him that way and yelled and threatened him he would demand an apology from me. I would have been happy with him just admitting he was wrong, but I got nothing. Back to registering for school after I prove that I am me I have to wait to see a special advisor because my son has special needs, so that I get into the classes that I want and need but with the instructors aware of his needs. All my class are going to be online which helps since my son goes to cyber school. This way I don't have to worry about either one of us missing classes because of his appointments or seizures.
Time to take Shye, out again and maybe get a nap in before my long drive and really long day.

What NOT to do when you can't sleep
I am one of those people who tends to have insomnia for a few days and then fall back into a normal healthy sleep cycle. And last night was one of those nights where nothing I did put me to sleep, even though all my body wanted to do was sleep my brain never shut of. Well okay my brain never really shuts off when I sleep.
I took OTC sleeping pills and after laying there for 3 hours I decided that I would get up and do stuff since I was not going to fall asleep. I took Shye out, which she loves when I can't sleep cause she goes outside after bedtime instead of having to wait until the morning. We walked the trash up to the dumpsters and then took the long path back to the apartment (don't worry it was only 15 extra feet down a hill, not down the stairs in the building).
I still couldn't sleep so I played with my son's legos and believe me they are still fun now. And just a bit more fun when I don't have to play with him since he tells me that I can't put certain pieces together. Who says that you have to have a clone head on a storm trooper body or an alien head.
Still unable to sleep I scrubbed my floors, I know that for most of you that would seem odd, but I mop once a day and clean my carpets every 2 months (it was monthly when my son was in normal school and not home all day with cyber school). I am bit of a neat freak my son jokes and says that I was as clean and organized as Monk when he was in normal school, before his seizures got worse. I still can tell you where things are in my place just not in my son's room. I'm lucky if I can find the floor for more than 2 days after he cleans it.
Still nothing and as I sat on the couch staring at Netflixs playing on my computer glancing and glaring at the TV on the stand that bite the big one today. Which I saw coming last month when it would take about an hour to get it to turn on and stay on. But since the TV is 10 years old and have has been in several apartments (and moved all the time in those apartments, so I could clean the carpet under the stand) and moved cross country with being in a box. It just sucks because I don't have the money to replace it right now. When my brain went into fix mood. I took it part and of course it was toast, not put back loose wire or just clean the dust out, but totally busted. I can say this I forgot how damn heavy that TV was.
I was glad that I have saved all extra parts and tools from all the things that I have put together or taken apart after duct tape and glue couldn't fix it. I had to use a allen wrench that I got when I bought my son's bed 7 years ago (yes I put it together by myself and it is one with a tent and slide, loft bed) to take the screws out of the TV. After moving the TV to the door (I have no idea how the hell I am going to get it to the dumpster) and putting away the boxes of tools and parts that I have I still can't sleep.

HI!
Hello Everyone,
I am new to this blogging. I decided to start this blog for many reasons one was because one of my friends from high school recently had a baby girl and she was overwhelmed with not only her daughter's health issues but the run around from the doctors. Since, I have been through the doctor game of them making you feel like you have no brain and had no idea what your am talking about. I figured that there is probably other out there who are not sure what to so or just feel alone. The and other is because I have this wealth of knowledge about some things from doing stupid things myself or from growing up in the Army.
Hopefully, this blog with help some and if you have any questions or thoughts let me know and I will give my though on the subject.
